Condolence Letters Excerpts from residents of Graterford/Phoenix

in memory of Joe Bradley

Kevin Butler Robert Rigler

Dr. Betz,

The Gray Panthers and I are extremely sad to hear of Joe Bradley’s passing away. The Gray Panthers owe a lot of its success to Mr. Bradley and you. He will definitely be missed. As I am sitting here contemplating, and wish I could go to his funeral to pay my respects to one of the GP heroes, I definitely have a tear in my eye, I am personally going to miss Mr. Bradley he was a good man. His character was impeccable as it pertains to how hard he worked to get seniors out of jail.

He truly was a champion on senior’s treatment inside these facilities; I still cannot believe he has gone. Please let his wife know how much we love him. The Gray Panther organization wouldn’t be where it is now; we own our success to Mr. Bradley.

Our Friend and Brother Joe Bradley

The news of Joe’s passing has been sad for many people at the Phoenix Prison who knew him here and at Graterford …Villanova Students, Lifers, and Gray Panthers …

Over many years Joe has been a great help teaching, supporting parole for Lifers, Aging Out with Elderly Prisoners of the Gray Panthers, and always supporting Veterans with attending Veterans Day and Armed Forces Day Services …

The news of his passing left many here at the prison sad and in shock. …

We will always miss you and love you Joe. We know you are in heaven right now still keeping an eye on us.

God Bless you, Peace and Love
